My Story

From Liberia to America to impact investing - the journey that led to Ojufund.

From Liberia to America

I was born in Monrovia, Liberia, a country rich in culture and resilience, yet challenged by economic uncertainty. Growing up, I witnessed firsthand how lack of access to capital and opportunity shaped the lives of brilliant, hardworking people around me.

When my family immigrated to the United States, I carried those memories with me. They became the foundation for everything I would build.

Finding My Path

Education opened doors I never knew existed. Through determination and the support of mentors who believed in me, I earned my place at institutions that transformed my understanding of finance, business, and what is possible when you combine capital with purpose.

But success in traditional finance felt incomplete. Every deal closed, every return generated, I found myself asking: Who is this really serving?

The Turn Toward Impact

The answer came when I started looking at investment through a different lens. Not just returns on paper, but returns for communities. Not just financial models, but models for change.

I realized that the same rigor and discipline that drives successful investing could be directed toward the communities that traditional capital overlooks. The ones that remind me of where I started.

Building Ojufund

Ojufund was born from this conviction. We invest in businesses and entrepreneurs in underserved markets, not as charity, but as smart capital deployment. These communities are not lacking in talent or ideas; they are lacking in investors who see what I see.

Our thesis is simple: potential exists everywhere, opportunity does not.

We are working to change that equation.

Looking Forward

Every investment we make is a bet on someones potential. Every successful exit proves that overlooked markets are not risky; they are undervalued.

I am just getting started. The gap between where capital flows and where it could create the most impact is vast. Closing that gap is my lifes work.
